This module provided so much insight. I have a better understanding of when it comes to LOA, SAP and how it can affect the student funding. One thing that I was not aware that when a student is withdrawn, they are still responsible for completing their exit counseling loan.

The importance of having the correct POC when it comes to accreditation visits. The point of contact will be the face of the institution, and it will also be the first impression that visitors have. You only get one opportunity to make a great first impression, and that is very important. I also didn't realize that our receptionist plays a crucial role in visitor management.

For institutions to always be ready for a visit. To welcome and properly greet the auditor. It's important to notify the Executive Director or anyone who is part of the leadership team when a visitor arrives.

Anyone can have a leadership role, but it's how you lead your team. By listening and fostering a positive environment.

There are different types of leadership styles. Working with different people and they all have different learning styles and goals. You cannot lead the same way with everyone. You have to be able to adjust your leadership style. Watching the video, I now have more respect for any educator in the K-12 education sector.

Leaders have a vision and support their teams to ensure they accomplish their goals.

Someone can be a manager without being a leader. A manager might oversee tasks and operations, but a leader inspires, motivates, and guides people toward a vision.

Retention is not the responsibility of a single department—it's a campus-wide effort. Understanding the underlying reasons students withdraw from school, and using appropriate formulas and diverse practices to analyze these factors, greatly aids in improving retention.
