My biggest difficulty is remembering to bring everything I need to each class. With only a few minutes between classes, everything comes with me all day, which means I am preparing the night before or on the weekends. As a single mom, this continues to be my biggest challenge.

We use a modified version of this for the research component of some of our courses. The students have the ability to develop their own project, within our parameters. Once their plan has been approved, the instructor and student both sign.

Since my program requires a certification exam administered by the state, it is important to make clear that we are simply offering an associate's degree. The next step (the exam) is what will make them into licensed technicians.

"Qualified" students

How do we know if a student is qualified? I have several students in my program at any given time who I feel confident will not be able to finish the program, due to the difficulty of the material. Or if they do finish, I know they will struggle significantly to pass our national licensure exam. Are we supposed to tell them they can't enter the program? Is it their right to "waste" their money?
