I haven't started teaching, let alone on line. So this was good for me so when I start I have a better understanding of how to use TMC.
Making sure to build good relationships, connecting with them, all while making sure it isn't a customer services relationship, will hopefully retain them as students.
The 7 principles are very helpful in setting students up for success. Also making sure students understand netiquette.
I learned the difference between synchronous and asynchronous. Along with when to use them.

Career Ed Lounge is embedded in over eighty professional development portals serving the career and technical education community. Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
