Email communication is used frequestly in online learning environments. It is best to keep confidential information private. 

Both synchronous and asynchronous meetings have pros and cons. Asychronous allows students to work at their own pace while sychronous happens in real time.

Some tips to remember: identify students who are not as active as others, coordinate learning activities for all participants and create some small groups for some of the learning. 

GEtting to know our students and their unique needs, allows us to reach our students most effectively.

E-learning environments, when organized properly, are an effective way to educate. A key component to reaching our students is to familiarize ourselves with the CMS. It is also important to know that not every instructor will prepare and deliver the material the same way.
