About me

Activity

Throughout all these training modules, it is suggested that the lessons should be tailored to each style of learning. My question is this:How practical is this on the grand scheme? If one lesson is geared toward the kinisthetic learner, in wont be appropriate to the auditory learner,or necessarily the visual learner.Likewise, if a lesson is set up for the auditory, the visual and hands on learner are ignored. Should each lesson have three versions to appease everyone? This is where my practicality question comes to bear... I would like to see examples of this scenario, where everyone is accomodated to.

We also deal with the 'professional' student, and often, you are correct; they are present because they have to be somewhere, not necessarily because they want to learn the subject matter. They can detract from the learning environment, so I try to emphasize a positive outcome with this group, because if left to their own devices, they can poison the rest of the group pretty quickly.

We also have a no cell phone during class policy, and the students always want to challenge that. If they are expecting an important call, I'll let them handle their business, in the hall. Otherwise, it is a distraction, and the process begins...verbal warning, write up...
