I appreciate learning and understanding immediate action needs to take place to support the accuser and the accused allowing for a just process.  

Through this content I have learned the Title IX Coordinator has a very important role.  This role provides support to the accuser, helps the institution and ensures a fair investigation for the accussed.  With all of these requirements I understand the need to suport the coordinatpr and why it is of value to train others throughout the institution.  Learning is done successfully when there is a safe environment to leaern in.  Title IX along with VAWA works to support this safe environment.

The overview of Title IX and VAWA was very helpful.  I appreciate a focus on safety and this overview has increased my personal awareness.  Having defined policies and procedures will further support a safe campus.  

All faculty, students, and affiliates should be responsible and feel empowered to report a violation of title IX.  The title IX coordinator plays a pivital role in safety and awarenss.  I appreciate the education on the Clergy Act and Title IX and what campus team members can do to provide safety.

I appreciate the recommendation to get to know your students and understand their motivation to learn.  I plan to work towards obtaining this undertsanding early in the course leading to increased student engagement and retention.  

I appreciate the review of what to expect halfway through a course.  There's a good chance students will be less engaged and the tactics reviewed will not only help me identify the disengagement they will also help me reduce this or help pull students back into engagement.  The unburden in REFOCUS is a great step supporting the instructor to not set unrealistic expectations.  

I've learned student retention is in part a major objective of the instructor.  Through providing physical comfort, security, acceptance and self-respect students are more likely to succeed and complete the course.  I apprecaite the content on enthusiasm and fun while understanding adult learners are more likely to be active learners versus passive learners.  

I have learned the characteristics of students and the considerations that need to be taken to promote a successful learning environment.  I appreciate the further review of the intrinsic and extrinsic students needs.  I will work to provide comfort, security, acceptance, approval, and recognition.  

I appreciate learning about the various styles of lecture and learning.  Casting a wider net will appeal to the class helping serve more.  I plan to assess learning styles and work to provide the variety.

I have study lean concepts for process improvement and love the correlation with lean and Instructional Offerings.  Providing the why to the student is a great start, a visual of the roadmap with the syllabus will help students understand where they are going and how to get there.  I also appreciate the checklist or standard work for the instructor.  It's not easy to remeber everything plus once you try out your checklist there will be things to add or remove.
