Student involvement in creating rubrics is a good way to have them understand what is expected from the course. Metarubrics is a important part of evaluating rubrics and feedback is a necessary component of rubrics

Creating a rubric can be done from online sources and should be adapted to fit your courses. It should be fair and equal for all students.

When creating rubrics do not add to many objectives. There are different components to a rubric and are essential to assessing students progress.

Rubrics are an important part of the teaching process but they can be time consuming to create. I am looking forward to using rubrics in my courses as they will benefit my students and me.

The seven principles of learning is essential for good online learning. Online etiquette is important just as in real life they should think before they act.

Online teaching requires that students know certain technology skills which some may not possess. As an instuctor you need to compensate for those student's deficiency. There are many online resources available for instructors to use.

Student participation is necessary for good online communication skills. Non participation can be solved through passive or aggressive methods.

As an online teacher it is necessary to assess you and your students for any weaknesses and to address those weaknesses. Have students understand the importance of time management to complete their work and to provide motivation to the students.

Value added assessments are a more accurate student assessment and providing a rubric will help the student know what the course expectations are.

The objective assessment is more of a testing right or wrong, true or false,or multiple choice whereas subjective assessment is more essay orientated. Feedback is important in both types of assessments.
