Updating online content is a necessaryevilo if you want your courses to make your students successful!

CVommunicatin is key so feedback is a necessary tool! 

Plan your work and then work your plan!

The first thing an online teacher needs to come to the realization that they are no longer just a teacher but a facilitator of knowledge. Without some sort of time/work management skills it would make a online course very difficult to manage. 

I have determined that the 7 principles of learning may not only work for online learning only but for face to face learning as well. 

Communication Skills are one of the most sought after soft skills in the "Real World" but not necesarily the easiest skill to teach? Technology skills, a hard skill is easier skill to teach but we have to figure out where each student is starting out at before we can start!

Developing that sense of community is fostered through collaboration and communication and that can be hard depending on the varying generations in  an online course setting? Just remember the art of communication is just that an art form.

What students really need in ordrer to be successful in any online course  or in life in general is to be self movtivated, self disiplined and have great time management skills as well as a need to have great communication skills.

Ive always been a fan of the following statement: "simple Talk is simply understood!" I believe that this would hold true in an online communinications as well! set ground rules and abide by them!

Another thing online teachers need to be concerned about is what there current LEA wil and will not support you in! Something I do do with every form of communication is I hold on to a copy of every communication ffrom parents, students, colleagues or adminstration!
