This training gives insight to the new admissions employee on how to organize and prepare for the role. As the face of the institution, the role of the admissions employee is very vital in the sense that every information about the institution has to be accurately and thoroughly delivered.

This course is very informative.

Admissions employee should be knowledgeable of the institutions accrediting, licensing bodies and their regulatory and financial impact on the institution. Understanding the institution's credit transfer process, its externship affiliate facilities, the employment placement companies and their operations helps the admissions employee to intelligently inform the student of credit transfers to and from another school, employment requirements and opportunities available to them.

The admissions employee should understand the different programs and services offered by the institution and be able to liaison with each program or service director to better inform and serve the student during the admission process.

This section explains the importance of understanding and using the school's catalog during the admissions interview. The catalog explains the admission requirements to each program, students' rights and responsibilities, Title IV, tuition and refunds. This knowledge enables adequate explanation of the afore listed and proper completion of the enrollment agreement form as it imperative to ensure that all areas of the enrollment agreement form is completed.

I understand that an Admissions employee must learn and understand the rules as stipulated by the Florida Department of Education as pertains to independent post secondary schools to enable compliance. The admissions employee must first understand the institution's admission and students' enrollment policies and procedures before starting to function in this role. To enable this, the admission employee will need to make and have available her resource notebook that will contain necessary State, Institution's policies, protocols, terminologies and forms.
