Jennifer, Terms and definitions are the language of our sector and the post secondary educational student experience. Until the foray into this part of their educational experience, many people have not come across the terms and do not understand how it affects them. As admissions representative we are obligated to make sure they understand in order to avoid mispresentation. Patty Aronoff

Margret , Interesting....it would be very important for your school to fully provide a descriptive of the terminology. We must all be talking about the same things in the end. Patty Aronoff

Florida Statutes are only modified during the legislative session annually and must be passed through the House and the Senate for the governor's approval. Patty Aronoff

Florence, Employment assistance is also called placement assistance. This is a service the school must provide to students to try to secure employment post graduation. Patty Aronoff

Marthe, Accreditation for your school must be legitimate in that the accrediting body must be recognized by USDOE. There are so many bogus accrediting bodies out there that are used by diploma mills. Investigate the accrediting agency! Patty Aronoff

Esme, Your school must be accredited by an approved accrediting agency recognized by the USDOE in order to apply for Title IV funding. This is also a term that this confused by students with the term financial assistance which means private lending source not affiliated with Federal financial aid. Patty Aronoff

Esme, Schools are required to provide placement assistance but cannot guarantee a job. This is very important that the student understand the difference. Patty Aronoff
