Sally, Regional and national accreditation focus on separate sectors for education. Both are equally respected through USDOE for Title IV funding. The regionals are part of the accreditation bodies that focus on the public sector and those upper level unversities and colleges within our sector. It is very, very expensive to receive regional accreditation. The transferability of credits is determined by the receiving institution. Even if the receiving institution holds the same accreditation, it does not mean that all credits will be accepted. Patty Aronoff
