Great question as you want to encourage all students. I would try to relate the class material to specific career options that would be possiblities for the students in the class as they are often there for a common goal. I also try to make it a point to use students for class examples, and rotate the students that I use. For example,'Jane' is a buyer for a department store, should she follow model 1 or 2 for her store. That student feels part of the discussion without even answering the question.

Interesting course about flipping your classroom. The course explains how instructors can change from being content providers to encouraging students to achieve content mastery. It might seem like a scary process, however it would be nice to see students take responsibility for their learning and encourage students to use critical thinking practices to understand the subject matter.

ED119 detailed useful information to engage students today using technology. I have used some areas discussed in my classes, but am excited to try some areas I did not consider useful for my area in the past. Interesting way to look at technology and learning as a way to strivie for critical thinking and understanding concepts of learning.

I finished ed117 and thought it had some great insight in what motivates generation Y to learn. I also found the performance contract interesting and would like to try this in one of my classes. It addressed the issue of gen Y lacking critical thinking skills and discussed ways to improve that skill. Very helpful!

I completed the ED111: Understanding Activie Learning. This was very useful to me as it gave excellent examples of ways to incorportate this into classes that are content/ term heavy.
