There are lots of different ways to communicate online.   Come up with a plan that evaluates exactly what and how you and your students will communicate

Use evaluations from multiple sources to evaluate how to improve the class.

This is a good reminder of good teaching practices.

Use the dynamic syllabus to link scaffolding topics to allow students to return to inforamtion that they may not be as confident with yet.

A good point was the emphasis on consistency in formatting.

Online class management is much different than face-to-face management though some of the same techniques may apply.  Several good suggestions on how to manage people with problems 

The use of both types of discussions is a good way to engage students differently.  I like the suggestion to use emoji's to emphasize tone.

The suggestion to have a biography assignment and then emaila comment to each student introducing and acknowledging their bio was a hint I will incorporate

I found it helpful to be reminded of all the organizational tasks that need to be attended to before class starts.   There are always a lot of them.
