I like the perspective that active learning techniques should not be an experiment; however, you have to be brave and try something new and then analyze how it went and if it can be executed again

Sometimes students resist active learning strategies in the beginning because they want to be spoon fed.  But upon reflection, most appreciate a change in education delivery techniques 

I have learned not to sweat the small stuff and provide touch points to make sure students understand and are clear regarding assignment requirements and due dates.  

Make sure you do not met alone with an angry student

I never gave much thought to "center stage" students taking attention away from others.  Will pay attention more to diversify the classroom conversations

Class starts smoother when you establish clear expectations

Does anyone find working with GenZ students a challenge specifically when assigning projects and they attempt to negotiate due dates and assignment criteria?
