Making sure rules and procedures are clearly displayed in the classroom and going over them the first day of class is a must.  Creating a contract with students about their behavior expectations would be another way to address rules and procedures.  

Bulding a classroom environment where all students feel valued and heard is important.  Some students' behaviors may need to be redirected and the best way to handle the behavior is to speak to the student in private and discuss his or her behavior.  

Knowing that superviors are there to help teachers is a something to always remember.  We tend to fear what a supervisor may say to us when we ask questions or voice concerns but those are the people who can make change happen.  

Keeping relationships with students professional is always best practice.  

I have learned that in order for a CTE program to be sucessful there are many factors that need to be considered.  CTE instructors should take the time to familiarize themselves with the specifics of each of these factors.
