It's very helpful to have knowledge regarding student's industries. It very important to have a chart or general info available when speaking to students. Regarding credits, each institution has polices regarding the number of credits that one can transfer. The institution must disclose information to students and usually a disclosure is placed in the catalog. Students must be informed on whether the transfer credits will be transferred over. Students may have to provide their transcripts to the institution that they want the credits to transfer to. 

It is important for the institution to have important documents available such as policies and procedures. There are a lot of important departments such as student services which provide assistance to students. Institutions use different forms of advertising such as flyers, ads, and more. A lot of institutions offer some type of graduation ceremonies at different times of the year. Our job description, polices, and even procedures can be found in out employee handbook. 

What I learned in this section is that admissions requirements must be stated in the catalog. All program lists must include the programs requirements. The catalog may display information pertaining to the institution such as calendar, institution history, and\or other important information. The enrollment agreement is something that is required and must be signed. It must be signed by student, and/or legal guardian. The institution supplies the enrollment agreement to the student. There are a lot of forms that are associated with the admissions process that need to be completed and signed. These forms are required. 

I learned that the Florida Commission for Independent Education requires that all staff complete approved training. This refers admission/recruiting staff. Admissions representatives can only work for licensed institutions, and the purpose of admissions representatives is to provide accurate information to prospective students. There are specific titles that admissions can utilize, and admissions representatives cannot push an applicant to enroll by offering bonuses or special discounts. We as admissions representative have to complete approved training. Our license has to be reviewed every year since the agent license is only good for one year.
