I learned that it takes a lot of effort to undo the damage of a single negative person, and they may not even know that they are being that way. The other thing that stuck out to me is finding the "want to" in the "have to".  I could see that being applied to students as well. I've had students tell me they were tired, they had too much to do, and balancing school was difficult. they feel they have to do homework, and they have to go to class, they don't have to, they can fail, they can get… >>>

I have learned that the enviornement in which you create for your student makes a big difference. Students have to feel confortable not only where they are learning, but how they are being taught, and by who is giving them the information. Each student is different so we must cater to each individaul by offering different learning techniques that will help the student.  If someone is a visiual learner. they are not going to learn by lecturing, maybe do a little lecture, show charts, or a movie.  You also have to understand the attention span of the human mind. I learned to not let preconceived notions blind you from better options or seeing the good in the situation. I learned the importance of visualizing what you are working towards. Also what you think is essentially what you are going to get. Maintaining poisitive thoughts creates positive outcomes.  I must focus on all othe good that students have to offer. I also must reflect of my habits and thoughts to make sure that I projecting waht I woud like for my students.

I learned that you have to model the behavior you would like to see in your students.  If you want your students to puch themselves, you have to push yourself.  I can't expect anything from them that I am not willing to give or do.  I also must try different techniques of motivation, find out the best way for them to recieve the information that I am giving.
