I have learned that internships are very valuable as far as providing productive "preseasoned" if you will, staff to the workplace. They will stick around longer, probably because they feel more comfortable in the setting. They are able to jump right in and complete the work we assign to them because they are coming with experience. Internships in nursing is valuable. It provides novice nurses with great opportunities to gain insight and knowledge. 

Lecture notes keeps you focused on how to prepare for each class session and adults retain 5-7 things.  

The syllabus is a road map and it is important to complete a checklist so you can make sure you have covered all the pertinent items for that class day. 

I learned that it is very important to spend time on introductions from you and the students, providing an overview of the class, giving a pretest to gage knowledge and most importantly being on time.
