Instructors not only expect perfection, but they anticipate failure. This can make them more anxious and end up causing them to actually make a mistake that could have been avoided had they been relaxed.

Many times some students will try to cheat if they have opportunity to do so. It is important for the instructor to separate students and stand in the back of the class to make sure students cannot cheat.

I always appreciate the students who want to engage and learn more, however, like the video stated, it can take from other students' learning. Including everyone is a huge part of how I teach. When I see students are being inattentive that's when I make sure they know that I see their inattention.

I learned it is important to test students prior to them going to class so they have an idea of what they are going to learn.

Creating a check list can keep an instructor on track and ensure that all topics and questions are covered.

I learned that one of the biggest determinants of success as an instructor involves the amount of planning and detail of planning prior to even beginning a class period with students.
