i like to us a tech. of rapid fire questions going backwards i.e. "what is water?" answer a combination of two atoms hydrogen and oxygen and then follow up with "and then what is oxygen etc etc... my students like the backwards traceing effect.
information tech. makes supporting the visual learner a much eaiser job. you can use power point, to we mechines. to candy and tooth picks pick your poison.
I believe the mmost important area of an assesment of students sucess is rapid feedback following any testing material It give the student information that can redrect them if necsssary or it can provide postive re-inforcement for work well done

I like to give little tests before the beginning of an instruction peroid to identfy the learning stype of the student. I will address all styles in my teaching plan. and the wide a veried style is effective for most learners.
I am a multi media instructor. I like to mix it up to keep the students attension. I do enjoy power point even though it has draw back such as wooing the students to sleep I never use power point after lunch.
i like this approch to teaching.. it makes the student accountable involved and active in the learning process. It is more like a patnership between the learner and the instructor.
I find I need to use many different types, and styles to motivate my students. inc. their age, life experiences and culture. this has been very helpful in the way I interact with my students.
I found this information very helpful I teach a derverse class age ranges 18-59 and different cultural backrounds. Understanding these differences helps me to be a better teacher
The suggestion of the crisis management exercise was very helpful I liked the use of time limitation interjected with new info. and changing time lines. I can use this in my class
I see this as the most important factor in retension.. it shows caring and concern not just from a student in a seat more torwards the students in your heart.
