Online learning environment is different to navigate, however I as an instructor have to provide every opportunity for the students to learn. 

I learned about different types of students which I see in my classroom almost every day and that makes sense.

I like the idea of recording a short video about myself to make the intro more live and interactive. 

Clear and effective communication with online from the start is the key to success. 

i learned that intrinsic motivator lasts longer which makes sense. I just never thought of it that way. 

I am going to display more enthusiasm and give my students more power to choose assignments. 

I like most of the ideas, however I am not sure how I am supposed to make a 10 minute pre=recorded lecture when I have to cover so much material? I understand I don't have to cover it all but still I will need MANY 10 minutes videos for that. 

I learned that flipped classroom will allow for more time during class to clarify the muddy points and apply the information in real time. 

The barriers are students' attitude towards taking more responsibility for their own learning. They still expect the instructor to explain everything because "that's what students pay money for".

I deal with the resistance from students about flipped classroom for a while. I am learning how to incorporate the best of 2 worlds together for better learning outcomes.
