It is important to help students focus on the big concepts of a classroom topic. They might spend too much time on unimportant details. It is also important to use clear language, as a lot of things are taken very literally. 

A lot of support in high school doesn't carry over to college or higher education. Students will need to advocate for themselves.

I did not know about the GI and Seizure problems of autistic people. I always assumed it was more of a mental type of disability; I did not know it could manifest in physical problems, too. 

Demonstrations and labs are important for learning, just make sure to practice them ahead of time to make sure you teach and do the demonstrations effectively 

It's essential to set expectations at the start of class and it's also important to learn the student's names. 

Pre Production before your class is super important. Your ability to think things out is essential to a successful class. You need to be able to plan lesson objectives, assignments, and overall learning goals before the class starts. Planning ahead makes things more smooth. 

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is the value of professionalism. While the industry I teach about tends to have a more casual culture, maintaining professionalism in the classroom is crucial for fostering mutual respect between students and instructors. It helps create a positive and productive learning environment. Additionally, it’s important to establish clear boundaries between encouraging students and forming personal friendships with them.
