This course is a reminder that timeliness is an important factor in managing retention. I have learned over the years that several opportunities have been missed by allowing too much time to go by before digging deeper into the situation causing the retention issues. The 8-step procedure is a great tool to manage communication with multiple students to allow an administrator to stay on top of their retention.
