The definition of SEl to me is the practice of integrating culturally responsive, inclusive, emotional supportive and encouraging practices into everyday educational opportunities.
We employ strategies to reinforce SEL during building wide SEL homerooms, during all counseling presentations, and school messaging for unity.
I don't consider the challenge to be that great of an obstacle because we are routinely trained to employ emotionally and culturally responsive and respectful practices which fosters improved student responsiveness, engagement, and outcomes.

Career Ed Lounge is embedded in over eighty professional development portals serving the career and technical education community. Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
