Student empowerment is a great asset not only in the classroom but also in community environment when sharing and giving back to other.

I find that some instructors have a feeling of insecurity when they acknowledge that they have to ask students to assist them with technology, but I think it is a great asset. For example there can be a student who barely speaks but knows technology. That would be the student any instructor would want to get technological help. By doing so would give the student to be brave, and master his/her craft.

Listening is one of the greatest principles in education. As this is a two-way street, students listen to instructors and instructors apply the same behavior. Some instructors listen but without value and this can be a turn-off for students. This module incorporate many reasons for being an effective listener.

I find that most students are very complacent. They do not take the initiative to get themselves prepared for their future. As some students would say, my mom or my dad is making me do this. without thinking that having an education is an investment in themselves. The GEN X's, are in this situation right now.

The discussion on the different types of test questions were detailed and easy to understand. This module has a lot to offer and instructors will be able to incorporate these in their day to day teaching and testing methods.

Within this section, the last three "don't ask' was perfect. As instructors we are tempted to say or ask, Any questions, Does everyone understand, or Does that make sense. These type of questions have been used in classrooms for decade, and still continue to be used. Personally, I do not think it is a bad idea to ask at least of of these.

I believe in rewarding students for their efforts, ut if some students consistently come to class late, it would not be a good thing to keep rewarding those late students. Although there are circumstances beyond one's control, students must be reminded that they are being trained for a chosen future career and adapting to specific time management is the cornerstone of keeping a job when hired.

It is very important to get the students engage before the start of the class lecture, for a number of reasons.

1. The student maybe having a bad day.
2. Just leaving work.
3. Other family dynamics that interferes with the learning process.
4. Lacks motivation
5. Getting them to start on a happy note helps the focus more.

Wake in the mornings with a good attitude. Give God thanks for His grace and mercy that keeps me alive each day.

The module tells us that stress can be acute or chronic. Acute stress can be handled in a short period of time, but with chronic stress, more intervention is needed to prevent long term complications e.g., mental physical and otherwise.
