Cultural competence is extremely important to maintain in climate of today's society. It's also important to make each student feel like they belong and a willing participant to learn.

Communication is extremely important as an educator. We should always keep an open mind and learn new innovative ways to communicate our thoughts to our targeted population.

In the past I have used pre class questions to get the most out of students in lecture. In accelerated programs time is of the essence and the more quality discussion we have in class the better the outcome. 

I learned about why different teaching modalities are used to get the best outcomes from the students.
