Giving a quick test/ quiz that is not graded and has no impact on their grade is a good way of finding out where your students are in their understanding of the material and what changes need to be made to meet your goals.

Understanding when to use the right type of question for the students at the appropriate time, an open-ended question, a closed-ended question, question chains, and personalized questions.

Just making sure that we take as many learning styles as possible into consideration when we are teaching because students vary in there learning styles.

keeping students enthusiastic about a course, by giving them immediate feedback on how they're performing. Are they doing good or are there areas they need to improve in.

Develop a rapport with your students by working to create trust and mutual respect with each other.

Students learn by doing. Ask questions of the students, instead of telling them.

We can help students to refine their career goals by helping students to work through these three career goal components. Making informed decisions, realistic aspirations, and meaningful outcomes.

Remembering that we only have a 10 to 18 min. attention span and the ability to comprehend 5 to 7 items and after that the retention rate starts to drop dramatically.

Purposeful prior planning prevents poor performance, and it never hurts to be over prepared.

Having a check list to stay on topic, a pad of paper for anything that comes up last min. because it will happen. I really like the idea of getting in early and talking with co-workers or students to get rid of nerves before a new class.
