We can all agree that we all have stressors in our daily lives. Both in our personal lives and in our business/work lives. It's important to know how to deal with the stress. Like "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff". Some stress is good, like the stress that makes us want to be more competitive or more productive. Makes us rise to the challenge. Then there is the negative stress that can make us unhealthy. The chronic stress. Daily exercise, visualization techniques... work for me. I also enjoy listening to music. I found that there is always something I can use when I take one of these courses.  In this case "Time Management'.  As we all get "busier" each day this course showed me ways for better time management. I enjoyed this course.

It should go without saying that we need to be doing what is legally right.

Yes, I agree.  We need to remember to reach out an address all learning styles.

I enjoyed this course.  It helped me to remember teaching methods and ideas for use in the classroom.

I just completed this course and felt that it reinforced many of the teaching methods we sometimes don't realize are so important.  Such as dealing with silent students, cheating students, learning the students names......   Enjoyed it very much.

I found this course very informative.  It gave a good refresher that makes us "refocus"  Good course.

Once several tests and homework assignments have been completed and several class sessions have been recorded, I share the students grades with them. On the first day of class, I explain where the numbers come from. When they receive their grade they are usually surprised to see it is better than they expected having all the factors of the total grade considered. So even a student who is having difficulty with the subject and has not done well on test, can feel that their homework and class participation counts as well.
On the first day of class, I ask each student how much they know of or their experience with the subject matter. It helps to know where they are coming from. I also encourage students with prior knowledge or experience to tutor other students who are studying the subject for the first time.

I believe that field trips play an important role in giving a student a first hand look at how they apply what they learn in the real work setting. It also lets them see things in action and helps motivate them to do well and be successful.
