Activity

I try to keep my students engaged by incorporating a variety of hands on projects, both individual and team based. This gives them opportunities to develop their own skills while also learning to collaborate, communicate, and improve through feedback from their peers and myself.

I've learned that inclusive teaching means understanding students' needs and helping them succeed in different ways. I use hands on demonstrations, group activities, and individual support to help students learn and build confidence.

I've learned that incorporating technology through online lectures, interactive activities, and in person demonstrations helps keep students engaged in CTE. I plan to continue using these approaches alongside hands on projects rather than relying only on traditional whiteboard instruction.

One thing I've learned is how important it is to get to know your students and understand where they're coming from. In my construction program, some students already have experience with tools and the trades, while others are just starting out. I try to work with each student at their level through demonstrations, practice, and hands on projects. I also think building a good relationship with students makes a big difference. When they feel comfortable and supported, they're more willing to participate, ask questions, and improve their skills.
