I love the fact that as instructors in this arena we are not only the key stakeholders but are now facilitators and motivators to students.

 

What I have learned is that adaptive learning which uses computer algorithms to orchestrate the interaction with the learner and deliver customized resources and learning activities to address the unique needs of each learner. In professional learning contexts, individuals may "test out" of some training to ensure they engage with novel instruction. Computers adapt the presentation of educational material according to students' learning needs, as indicated by their responses to questions, tasks, and experiences. This technology encompasses aspects derived from various fields of study.

Institutions are accustomed to investing in student enrollment. However, improving student success and increasing student retention rates yields a higher financial benefit. It is more cost-effective to keep students who are already enrolled than to invest in recruitment efforts to drive up enrollment numbers. In order to determine just how much money can be saved by improving student retention. Student retention efforts not only improve the financial health of an institution but also allow for more flexibility to reinvest in student success programming that yields an even higher return on investment.

I agree that critical thinking is very important in all aspects of life. Critical thinking is also very important in nursing education.

I leraned that understanding the seven priciples of learning will help in being successful in online teaching.

I truly agree that the best way to evaluate the online discussion is through consistent feedback using grading rubric.

I learned that communication is one of the most important aspect. I also like that grading rubic that was posted in the course.

I learned tha providing imformative timely feedback is most important in online course. As facilitator we have to be careful of words tht are used to communicating with students.

I have learned wheather we use synchrony vs asynchronic instrutors need to have material organized for class.

During this pandemic was perfect example of instructor finding the perfect tool to used, especially in those classes that were never online. I can image it was hard for some professors adjusting jto the change.
