One takeaway I have from this module is to provide a pre-course survey to evaluate technical issues/understanding students may have to prepare to assist in any way we can. 

My takeaway from this module is to ensure the discussion questions are worded in a direct and uncomplicated way to encourage participation even from those shy students. I will ensure I have timely responses to their posts to give feedback as quickly as possible so students feel supported and remain engaged in the course. 

I really like the idea of implementing a general discussion board in addition to the discussion board for class assignments/topics. I would like to implement this practice.

In this module I have learned about the importance of having a learning support AND a technical support. Having the 2 support systems will help to minimize frustrations of the students and staff. This should in turn provide a more engaged and successful group of students. I will familiarize myself with both support systems to ensure I am able to direct the students and staff to the correct support group if needed.
