It is important to take a more holistic approach when assessing how students learn to be sure that they have understood the material provided.

Treat each student individually for their learning capabilities despite if English is their first or second language etc.

As educators, we need to think of our students as individuals with their own identities as well as pay attention to cultural differences and be respectful of every aspect of each student to make the classroom feel like a safe environment to learn.

It is important to be inclusive in the classroom setting as well as in clinicals and anywhere that life takes you honestly. Gender/racial bias still exists today unfortunately. We need to be apart of the change for the future and be sure that no one feels left out or excluded especially in a classroom setting. I am here to help my students be successful in every way possible and hope to never make them feel bad about themselves in any way, shape, or form.
