I attended a Seminar for Resume Writing about 5 years ago and they stated including 'References Available Upon Request' dates a person and is no longer necessary or needed on resume.

I do think preparing Career Service Students with Professional and Professional References should be stressed more with emphasis on Professional vs Personal.

Reflection can be an all inclusive tool to improve on all areas of your life, Wouldn't you agree?

The need for Individual, Job Search is important because it makes the student feel like less of a number and more of an individual knowing that Career Staff is willing to take the time to sit with them and listen to their career aspirations and then try their very best at assisting them so that it make come to fruition.

I have learned that Association Membership is important because it offers greater networking opportunities, Real Life/Job balance from industry leaders who are performing jobs in the career industry you want to be involved in. Memebership is key and it lreflects positively on resume.
