Social media is still pretty new for the use of institutions so it's always ideal to discuss social media platforms with your team before creating a post. There are rules/regulations for anything posted online.

It is important for any accredited institution to follow all rules and compliance so they can maintain their status. Without out following these regulations, your institution could lose their accreditation which would impact all current and future students.

I've learned that even though we are working on enrolling students, we still have to review our withdrawal process and any refunds regarding anyone departing their program early.

I've learned some phrases to avoid saying and just ensuring you are never guessing on any answers you give. Let the student know you aren't positive so you will check at a later time and get back to the student with the correct information. This is important to do to make sure you stay in compliance.

Creating a notebook with all your state requirements/compliance is a great idea to ensure you're always following the most up-to-date information. You must make sure the information gets updated as time goes on.

I've learned that is a good idea to get with your institutions marketing team to get yourself familiar with the types of advertisements that are active. This will assist you if any students have a question regarding a flier or something they saw online.

I've learned that the enrollment agreements and all the information within isn't just a standard of our institution, it is a requirement set by the state. These agreements should be taken very seriously and keeping up-to-date on any state or local changes is vital for the success of students.

I've learned that following compliance is vital since as agents, we have someone's whole life in our hands. This is a huge decision for many so providing the most accurate, up-to-date information is a must. This ensures our students have the correct information to make an educated decision on their future and potentially the future of their family, as well. Doing what's right is key.
