Technology Keeping Up

I remember when I was a elementary school teacher and a computer was placed in my room. It was a new toy and I had to learn how to utilize it along with classroom instruciton. Now if you are not able to keep up with technology, it is very diffcult to remain in the classroom. Working at Brookline has made me use technology more than my normal comfort zone but it has made me a much better instructor.

Will use day one !

Understadning the different types of learners in aonline setting was helpful. Even though I weas already aware of the different types of students, it was refreshing to have title or definition of each. I will try to be more aware of the behaviors that each learner demonstrates and tailor makle my responses accorindlgy.

How do you meet your students?

I use an activity that allows for more perosnal feelings and/or beliefs. This gives them the comfort level to express themselves and be more interactive than if itwas related to core concepts.

Conversation with Students

I have found that attempting to communicate with students literally the next day does have its benefits. Many issues I have been able to address in a timely fashion. There have been times when sharing my work phone number was useful with resolving problems. These small details make the difference in helping students being successful.
