I learned it is important to learn each student's name and to use those ideas given if it is too difficult. Taking the time to learn their names shows them you care and are invested in them.

I enjoyed this module. again as a new instructor I feel I need all the tips I can get to help me with the planning and structure of my class and how to be successful. Many of these ideas will hopefully help me do just that. I like to prepare and organize and it states just how important that can be especially when just starting out.

This was a great module. I am a new instructor and it has given me so much valuable information. I am not a great public speaker but i seem to perform better when it is a message in which I am knowledgeable. I know I have so much to learn and it would seem it is an ongoing learning process. I really like that aspect of this module. It seens as an instructor you are always finding new ways to teach to reach your students in a better or unique way.

I believe it is important to the integrity of our schools to maintain a relationship with our students based on honesty and truth. How do you falsely portray your school and bring students in in on a pretense just for a monetary reward, this is cold and calculating.  This is about education, the future of our population not a moment in time, a moment for your own self gratification. I understand why so many entities are involved in maintaining the checks and balances of the higher education system. I an advocate for my students it will be important to be… >>>

I had no idea that there were so many regulatory requirememts when it came to higher education and the process of dispensing information not to mention all the other processes (admisstion/financial aid/graduation and employment). I am unsure how to apply all of these within my scope of practice just basically being aware of the items important to me and adhering to those necessary that are  specific to my institution and state.

I had no idea that there was so much misleading information being given to students in higher education. I assumed that there were so many who were banging on their doors to get in already that there wasn't a need to alter the reality of the school's opportunities. Such a shame to build up something one cannot provide.

This is an interesting module as I never thought of this relating to information overload for students, but it indeed makes sense. I did not realize the high cost either of not following these regulations of the Do Not Call Resistry, an eye opener for sure!

This module has been eye opening in assessing sexual misconduct on campus. This has been an ongoing concern for most institutions and how it pertains to this institutions is indeed interesting.

it is interesting to see the reward system is not a motivator in the adult education system. We look for more internal rewards and self fullfilling rewards systems.

I liked how it gave different ideas to assist instruction in allowing both security and autonomy. I know as being an adult learner in the past, it was most important that I felt like I was in an environment whereas I felt I would not be judged or ridiculed and that I had some of the power over my wwn education.  These are important concepts when dealing with the adult learner to maintain that balance in the classroom.
