keeping the lectures relatively short 15-20 minutes, incorporating activities will help assist students with understanding the material. This will also help students assist with different learning styles for the students. 

It is important to get to know your students, introduce yourself, break the barrier at the beginning of the class semester so they feel comfortable and relaxed. 

I have learned to have objectives for each course that we teach, be prepared, do not be afraid to have notes in front of you, have clear expectations on what they will learn and take away from the class. Come in early and to get settled and say good morning to the students. 

Be a role model for our students. Engage our students each day of lecture or clinical instruction. Incorporate previous knowledge into plans so our students would / could be a better understanding of the information. Show professionalism inside and outside the clinical atmosphere.
