I love using interactive teaching strategies, rather than just a PP lecture, it really helps with keeping students engaged and studies have shown it helps with retention of information.

I love the idea of giving the students some background and sharing thoughts about each other, this will lead to more open communication and build trust.

As an instructor it is important to be prepared before class, plan how you will execute the topic you will speak about to the students. I feel if the instructor is prepared this makes for a better learning experience for the student.

Model, manage, and motivate says it all!
