I learned the importance of keeping course records.
Communicating with and counseling students is the best way to deal with undesirable behavior, to resolve conflicts, and minimize student attrition. 

asynchronous participation is a more desirable way to engage learners of all styles because they will be less reluctant to paticipate.  

It is important for an instructor to project their authority and credibility in distance learning just as it is inside a traditional classroom setting. It is equally important that students know who their instructor is as well as other students and important for an instructor to know each student on a personal level to enhance the online learning environment.

In order to be an effective online instructor, one must be familiar not only with the subject being taught but also with the platform being used. 

I have learned the importance of recognizing different learning styles and presenting the same material in different ways to better accommodate those differences. Preparation is the key to this and to the overall success of classroom learning. By practicing demonstrations and lectures beforehand, I can ensure that the lesson will shine through and the chaos of mishaps won't distract from it.

I learned that personalizing classroom time for students is important to provide a successful learning environment. To create this, it is essential to learn each student's name and address them by that name when engaging with them. Being early allows time to discuss topics beyond what is covered in class and sets the stage for building relationships and trust, which are essential to productive classroom time. 

I learned that it is important to be prepared for the class I am teaching in advance to reduce both my and student's stress level and to ensure that all materials will be covered effectively. 

I learned what a proper plan contains and why it is important to be inclusive of all of those elements

I have learned that setting a good example for students through professional behavior and ethics is equally as important as the content that I am teaching. This includes behavior, timeliness, thoroughness, compassion, and excitement for the profession.
