Reading this section I am reminded of the gymastic students who endured abuse and the college did nothing. It seems watching the news, at least once a month you hear about colleges not following up on sexual crimes until someone gets hurt or dies.

Breaks my heart! 

Even though I am currently employeed by a small college I constantly remind the students of "professionalism" ... no matter what their culture is on the street or at home ... when you are at school and the work place ... you must be professional at all time. I do not tolorate rudeness… >>>

This section highlighted the importance of make the students/employees safe and aware of policy. 

Weather the incident was on campus or off campus the institution is obligated to investigate it ... the student/employee is encouraged to report it and file the complaint with reassurance from the school that it will remain private ... but they do not have to file a formal complaint.  

Investigation is important either way.

This section was training on the Title IX Coordinator and their part in the scream of things within the institution. Being the new Coordinator within our organization ... this section helped me learn my responsiblities and organize my files ... it will also help me train all new employees with their knowledge of Title IX.

the Title IX rule was effective on 8/14/20 in order to create a specific process for istitutions of higher education to anage complaints under the rules of sexual harassment ... specifically on campus.  It protects, student and employees as well.

Sexual harassment is unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, ect. Sexual violence is a subset of sexual harassment such as dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking. 

Title IX ensures each institution sets up policy to cover the above mentioned.  The institution must adopt and publish grievance procedurs and a policy to take action once a complaint has… >>>
