Activity

The more time you spend organizing, the less chaos you will have in the class.

One of the big under talked things is that students do not feel asynchronous learning is as strong as synchronous.

Tools are only good if students use them...period.

Evaluations and revisions are a mandatory part of the cycle of growth.

Rubrics are essential but students need to understand the meaning and the expectation of them.  Many times it is just the number they are looking for.

When students feel part of the group and that you are not wasting their time with discussions, they will participate. Sometimes it is in group, other times in vblogs, etc.  It may not be a traditional manner in which we see it.

Students must be at the center of the design.  Just because it is fance doesn't mean it will enhance learning.

The truth lies behind computer problems.  So many times it will be sold to you as a computer problem when it really is not.

Do not expect your learners to meet you half way...there is no half way.  You will go to them....eventually, they may come more toward you, but it isn't half way.

It is really all about relationships....be it F2F or distant.
