Training must be sufficient for new employees to know the rules and regulations of their positions. Failure to do so may put the school at jeopardy.

 

With all the influences of social media, it is essential full disclosure is given to prospective students.  

All policies must be disclosed and discussed for the student to make a sound decision.  Then, he or she will be less likely to drop in the future

You get one chance to make the first impression.  Students will forgive a lot, but not lies.

 

Followers need to be heard, seen, and accepted.  They need a safe environment to make mistakes yet understand the ramifications of those choices.

This was a helpful training to be able to produce a plan and then think of how it should be placed into action.

Going  over expectations that are not being met should not occur continually. Leaders mush have a way to break this cycle so the infections of the person does not spread to others.

Being open to hear the criticism and wanting to make it better will enable your leadership style to flourish.  If you act like you don't care, people won't care. 

For learning styles I always recommend "Make it Stick" so educators and students can grasp the idea of how true learning can occur in any environment. 

Many of my most courageous moments were when I had to use my emotional intelligence that went against my historical upbringing. These decisions helped me break-down barriers and increase respect in the work-place.
