I really like what was said about students and how they take notes. "Note making instead of note taking" is a great way that shows how today's learners can use today's technology (apps) to make this more meaningful for them.

Different types of technolgy are needed for specific course topics. Pick the right one you need for your area and the needs of the students to be successful.

Augmented reality is seen almost everywhere now in the telelvision and entertainment industry. Since my course is visually based, I would like to apply augmented reality to my student's newscasts in some capacity. This is great technology that I can see my students really get involved with their practicum requirements.

Using VR in the classroom (or online distance learning) can be a very helpful instrument for most visual learning students. My course is a visual medium, so I would like to apply using VR capabilities. Virtual field trips is the first one I can see myself utilizing first. It is something that I can pursue right now and set up or even create a virtual field trip with industry partners that are willing to help.

I have recently looked into the augmented reality aspect that broadcat journalism and television production has been using in their broadcasts. I would love to apply this to my curriculum in some shape or form. As a secondary CTE teacher, I can see certain obstacles that mey get in the way like cost and technology. This is the way of the future and I strongly believe that with the changes with online distance learning due to the recent pandemic, it is a must to move forward with the various realities that industry is already using to prepare our students for… >>>

I learned that our "new normal" will depend on us as educators to be real creative. Since mid March of this year, I have seen how the "lack of communication" can occur with students and their interest to complete and assignment or online activity will vary from student to student. Feedback is crucial. I think that being more of a facilitaor than a "teacher" helps even online learning a place to hear our students ideas and contributions to a course. Creating a more open "learning forum" is what I would like to implemnet this next school year.
