I think that using other tools in an online setting can keep the attention of the student and it will give them something to look forward to each session. You don't have to keep doing the same thing over and over again.

I'm a pretty confident person but my obstacles that I will have, will be getting to personal with students. I want to help and I tend to ask to many questions and that could be taken as invading privacy or just come off creepy. I'm really talkative so I will have to always be presented in class as a professional once I let that go. I start telling stories, and getting to comfortable like their my friends and that I don't want to do. my fear is not knowing the material enough, fear of what I know I don;'t know… >>>

I have learned how to diffuse a situation with a disruptive student or cheating student. This area of max knowledge has given some examples of ways of handeling a cheating student. Things to expect and how a situation like  this can be escalated to the administration or dismall of the program all together.  For a cheating student it is wise to review the spacing of desk in the classroom so there is no room for an accusation. Walk around the room during test taking time and just in general make sure that alll studens know and recognize that your paying… >>>

I would of never though about using the talkative student as a note take to take the attention off of them.  It gives the instructor more control of the class and the student who wants to be center stage.

I've learned to set standards review the syllabus and make sure students know what is required of them and what expectations I have from the students.

After reviewing the content I learned that you have to utilize different mehtods of teaching.  Try to approach a mixed presentation style because each perons learns differently and we don't want to use just one style because you will not be able to reach each student individually. It's best practice to display more than one teach style.

Learn each students name, introduce yourself so that the class can get a better grasp of who you are and to display come commonalities.

I've learned to start early, have a plan, and make a check list. All of these tools that were mentioned in the reading will help the instructor stay organzied and stay focused on what needs to be addressed. This will help the instructor to remember what needs to be done so that noone is left hanging with no followup.

My first as an educator was eye opening, I have learned you can see the eagerness to learn in someone's yes. You can sense that they are depending on you to delivery your best. The students want to learn and want to be successful. I have learned that I can be there for a student who gives their 100% and I can support someone who is not so inclinded to do their best.  Best practices for me is to be consistant, prepare an action plan. Take time to review my plan and deliver, in the meantime I will watch as… >>>

I've learned to always build on what skills I have. Never try to come off as the know it all. Strategize  technique, delivery, and growth.  Continue to build my knowledge through collegues, literature and other courses. Teaching can be challenging but yet rewarding and the key is to keep students engaged and excited.
