About me

Manuel was born and raised in Guaynabo, PR.  Mr. Fernandez-Longo obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL(1988). He started his IT career as a Junior Programmer in 1989. He upgraded himself into a Programmer Analyst in 1993-1998. Wanting to move to the US mainland, He got a job at General Electric (GE) as a Software Engineer in 1998. While at GE, Mr. Fernandez-Longo completed his Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from Webster University (2002). In addition Mr. Fernandez-Longo worked at Thomas Nelson community College as a IT Specialist II (2005). Wanting to move back to Florida, Mr. Fernandez-Longo accepted a position at Starwood as a Programmer Analyst (2006). Also, he taught computer Science at Keiser University (2009) an then at IADT (2012), IADT changed its name to Sanford/Brown College(2014).

Activity

Since I became an Adjunct Instructor, I have prepared all my classes to accomodate students with learning Disabilities.

Because I have Dyslexia myself, I purposely created all my classes with the intention of teaching students with learning disabilities.
