Designing evaluation tools that include both the what and why of learning criteria.  It can be challenging to have the students engage in building a portfolio of what they have learned and not what they are expected to say.

Providing support to help students successfully navigate the professional learning while being sensitive to 'mother 'language and how it is used to further understand.

promoting mutual respect for each individual starts/ and should be modeled by the instructor to identify that all are included and equally important in this learning journey.  Race and culture will be wonderful stepping off point to identify needs, and participate in learning.

Each student is an individual, and the instructor must respect knowledge level, method of learning and show enthusiasm for the interest that this student as well as all students in class are here, wanting to learn.  Stereotyping, is not engaging, and will not assist in learning.
