Understanding and connecting the personality traits of pharmacy instructors and students helps improve communication, engagement, and collaboration in both classroom and online settings. When instructors recognize students’ learning preferences and communication styles, they can tailor instruction to meet diverse needs. Likewise, students who understand their instructors’ traits can interact more effectively, ask better questions, and engage in teamwork—skills that are essential for safe and patient-centered pharmacy practice

Understanding the personality traits of online pharmacy instructors and learners helps improve teaching, communication, and collaboration in virtual settings. Recognizing different learning and interaction styles allows instructors to adapt their approach, engage students more effectively, and foster teamwork. These skills are essential in pharmacy, where clear communication, collaboration with colleagues, and patient-centered care are critical for safety and quality outcomes.

Understanding True Colors personality traits helps pharmacy instructors and learners recognize different communication and learning styles in online settings. This awareness improves collaboration, reduces misunderstandings, and supports more effective patient-centered thinking—skills that are essential in pharmacy practice.

Reviewing personality assessments in this class was very beneficial. I’ve used similar tools with my pharmacy students to help them better understand their communication styles and how they work with others in a fast-paced pharmacy setting. Understanding, practicing, and emplamenting are all important and beneficial steps that need to be taken.

FERPA is a very touchy subject and isnt always easy to find away around it. However it does help us as instructors as well as general personal understand that ALL privacy needs to be handled with the up most care.

Comment on Yolanda Beavers's post: I was thinking the same thing with my class for our in person days.

Learning more about teamwork, collaboration & time management has been a big eye opener as well as a AHA! moment for me. Seeing the different techniques, different tools & the focus I can apply in my class has helped me start planning and finding resources that I can incorporate in my class both online and in person. Im excited to start come Monday with my students.

The information that I have obtained from this is how to be open, responsive in not only a positive but a personal matter with the students, as well as other peers. Being in the students' seat has taught me to put myself in their shoes. One of the many tools that I will be implementing for my class will be my feedback, to checkpoint the learning of the students growth, the pre assessments, and the rewrite of questions as the scenarios. There are many more little details but to list them all I will be here all day.
