I learned that in-person students and online students exhibit the same behaviors and how to address them 

 

This article describes the differences between synchronous and asynchronous discussion learning and feedback and assessment. When providing feedback with criticism, ensure that it is sent privately by email. For example, Synchronous Sessions are mainly used for chat sessions, and they need to be limited to five to six students, response time can be immediate. On the other hand, Asynchronous Sessions are done with large groups, and response times are typically longer.

During this module, I learned how important it is to build a relationship with students right from the start by asking questions and having them complete welcome assignments. I also learned that it is important to send out frequent messages to remind them that you are there for them in case they get overwhelmed or need support. 

From this topic, I have learned what is most important in online course delivery. It is important to understand and complete the student training for your CMS, it is important to plan out when students have access to assignments, if they are going to have multiple attempts at quizzes and exams. It is more than just putting all of the information on CMS. It also validated my thought process when building an online course of how I organize my material. I suggest that students read each chapter and complete all of those chapter's assignments before moving on to the next… >>>
