I learned as an instructor, considering Maslow's basic needs list is a factor when setting your students up for success

I've learned that even adults do not pay attention to deadlines and will push the rules and request you to bend them at times. setting clear expectations upfront is important.

This module taught me that  the attention span of most individuals is only about  15-18 minute range and people typically on remember 25% of what they hear! As an instructor, our job is to meet all of the learning needs of the students, while constantly measuring the effectiveness of my instruction.

I learned that the first meeting is not about getting everything done but making sure the students leave feeling like they have an understanding of what to expect. Introductions are important as it allows the student a chance to open up and the students have an opportunity to learn something about the instructor.

This Module encouraged me to explore the course content and objectives ahead of time to prepare. I read how important it is for me to read and understand what the content is saying so that I understand it in a way to be prepared to explain to the the students.

As a new instructor it will be important to understand my own teaching styles, stay informed and understand each class will come with its own challenges and successes.
