I learned in this module a few key components of problem-based learning. Some include students solve the problems, there is not always one correct answer, every learning path is valid, and assessments are based on more than summative tests.

I learned about the idea of the "flipped classroom". This is a great technique for online learners because they can individually watch a video or read a resource, then meet up to discuss and learn more synchronously.

The three components for a three-fold plan that encourages the use of active learning is instructor release time, financial incentives, and community.

Online learning is a combination of projects and assignments. Students show course competence through materials that include both!

Some students may feel alienated in class if there are no real connections or relationships built, it is important to make sure every student feels the Professor's presence to ensure they feel important.

Best way to start class and engagement is having student's post their biographies.

It is important to look over the course, even if you have taught it before, to make sure you are up to date on content. Always utilize technical support to make sure class is running smoothly.
